Matthew is a third year student at McGill University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Science with a major in cognitive science (focusing on computational neuroscience) and a minor in urban systems. He is the Founder and President of the Association Kassiope, a nonprofit whose objective is to create and maintain a mobile eye clinic that carries out eye exams, and health prevention programs alongside community organizations and university hospitals in Ahmedabad, India. His entrepreneurial experience developing a social impact organisation gives him particular empathy for the obstacles social-entrepreneurs face, and has made him particularly keen to understanding the social innovation space in Québec where he now works as fund manager at the Montreal Social Value Fund. More generally Matthew is interested in the role that well-coordinated cross-sectorial partnerships can play in transitioning to a more resilient, just and ultimately peaceful communities. Matthew is very excited to start his internship with SIA and Esplanade and to continue deepening his understanding of the social innovation space in Québec.
