Mesgna is a 3rd year commerce student at the UBC Sauder School of Business studying as a Ralph M. Barford Loran Scholar and Horatio Alger National Entrepreneurial Scholar. He is a passionate youth leader with a focus in policy and advocacy through his previous work with Plan International Canada to advance towards gender equality on all levels of council for the Youth for Gender Equality initiative. His contributions to the initiative led to his selection as a delegate for Women Deliver 2019. Mesgna currently sits as an official National Youth Delegate on the Commonwealth Youth Council General Assembly as 1 of 2 delegates representing Canadian youth among the other 53 commonwealth countries. Mesgna looks forward to pairing his experiences with what he will learn interning at Marigold Capital to better employ a socially equitable lens in the allocation of financial capital throughout his future career.
